This policy covers the website, extension, authentication, APIs, and AI-powered search features. The information processed depends on the features you use.

AI Content Vault is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google, YouTube, Instagram, or other third-party platforms.

We may process the following categories of information, depending on how you use the service.

Account and identity

• Your Google account email, name, and account identifier when provided through Google sign-in.
• Account identifiers, authentication tokens, and session information used to authenticate requests.
• Preferences and other account information you choose to provide.

Saved content and metadata

• URLs of YouTube videos, Instagram posts or reels, GitHub repositories, and other supported links you choose to save.
• Available titles, authors, channel names, thumbnails, platform labels, and associated metadata.
• Notes, descriptions, favorites, and other information you add to saved items.

Technical information

• IP addresses, request timestamps, API paths, and error details where recorded by our server, hosting, or security infrastructure.
• Browser storage, authentication state, and preferences needed for features you use.

We do not ask you to provide your Google account password directly. Google authentication is handled through Google's sign-in flow.

Our browser extension makes it easier to save supported content without manually copying and pasting URLs.

• The extension may access supported page information needed to identify a post, reel, or video.
• It sends the selected content's URL and relevant metadata to our backend when you use the save feature.
• It may store authentication information or preferences locally to support its functionality.

The extension is not designed to record every website you visit. Its intended saving workflow is triggered by supported pages and user actions. Browser permissions and technical requests may nevertheless permit processing of page information or network metadata as described in this policy.

Removing the extension stops its use in your browser, but does not automatically delete content already stored in your online account.

• Authentication: sign you in and validate requests to your account.
• Content management: save, organize, display, edit, and retrieve the items you add to your vault.
• AI search: generate and compare content representations to find relevant saved items.
• Security and reliability: detect abuse, apply rate limits, investigate errors, and maintain the service.
• Service communication: deliver account-related or operational emails where applicable.
• Legal compliance: respond to valid legal requests and meet applicable obligations.

We do not sell personal information or use it to determine creditworthiness or make lending decisions. We use information for the purposes described in this policy and other purposes permitted by applicable law.

AI Content Vault can use embeddings and AI services to help you find saved content by meaning rather than exact keywords.

Titles, descriptions, URLs, notes, or search queries may be processed to create numerical representations called embeddings. These representations help compare a query with saved content.

When a feature requires an external AI provider, relevant queries or content information may be sent to that provider to generate embeddings or responses. Our implementation may use Google Gemini services.

Embeddings are derived from content and are not guaranteed to be anonymous. We treat them as information associated with your saved items. AI-generated results can also be incomplete or inaccurate.

We do not sell personal information. Information may be transmitted to the following parties when needed to operate the service:

• Infrastructure, database, hosting, and security providers that help operate our platform.
• Authentication, email, and AI providers when a feature requires their services.
• Authorities or other parties when disclosure is required by applicable law or valid legal process.
• Relevant parties when necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, or threats to users or the service.

We aim to limit information shared with service providers to what is necessary for the relevant function. Those providers may also process information under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.

Account details, saved links, notes, metadata, and associated search information may be stored in backend databases and related infrastructure. Browser storage may hold authentication information or interface preferences.

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Keep your devices and account access secure. If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, contact us.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect against abuse.

• Saved items and associated metadata may remain until you delete them or request account deletion.
• Authentication information may be retained as needed to maintain or secure a session, subject to expiration and revocation mechanisms.
• Technical logs may be retained where necessary for security and troubleshooting.
• Backups or records kept for legal or security reasons may not be removed immediately.

Actual retention periods depend on the data, system configuration, and applicable legal requirements.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or request deletion of personal information associated with your account.

• Review and manage saved items using the website's available features.
• Delete individual items where deletion controls are available.
• Contact us to request account deletion or ask questions about your information.
• Remove the browser extension if you no longer wish to use it.

We may need to verify your identity before processing a request. Some records may be retained where required or permitted by law. Removing the extension alone does not delete server-side content, and deletion may not immediately remove every backup or technical log.

Depending on the feature and deployment configuration, our service may interact with Google sign-in, Google Gemini, YouTube, Instagram, database and hosting providers, email providers, and other APIs.

We encourage users to review the privacy policies of third-party services they interact with.

AI Content Vault is not intended for children who are prohibited from using the service under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information in violation of applicable requirements.

If you believe a child has provided information inappropriately, contact us so we can review the matter.

We may update this policy as our service, features, providers, or legal obligations change. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when we publish a revision.
